Born on Long Island N.Y and currently living in Manhattan N.Y, Alison Antario has dedicated her life to the art of photography. She continuously sets out with the goal of creating beautiful image that leave viewers with raw heartfelt emotion. Using her photographs to educate others on issues that go unnoticed is what fuels her to go out into the world and capture the perfect images. Utilizing natural light as a main element in most of her work, Alison seeks to become a visual storyteller, obtaining a career as a photo journalist, Alison Antario has obtained both an Associate's of science degree with a focus of the in photography from Nassau Community college in 2012 as well as a BFA in photography from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2016.In her most recent work, she has been contacting elderly people who are living out their lives alone, and documenting their daily activities. Without without her camera, these individuals would not have a voice to speak. Influenced by a positive thinking elderly gentleman whose wife had passed away some years ago, Alison Antario was prompted with the question of how older people cope with loneliness in their golden years. Striving to understand how these people feel on a daily basis and what motivates them to live on.
